I've never seen so much lily of the valley in one place before. There are
great drifts of it under all the trees around about and it smells amazing.
This is the 3rd spring I've seen this year and it's lovely but I do wish I
wasn't so very allergic to it :(

3 springs in one year!
lovely - I have a similar pic on my camera ( I hope) taken last week in Grass Woods

You're up very late this evening!

Viv says:

I'm often up late - Alan has always been a night person - if I got to bed early we hardly communicate - I go past my tiredness peak and can't sleep - fortunately I don't have to get up either! No routine whatsoever!

Sorry it made you sneeze. Very lovely pics though.

(You've got the bimmin' Floral Dance stuck in my head now.)

You're all up so late! I was nearly asleep ages ago! Now I have the floral dance too. And a mental image of Terry Wogan though I'm not entirely sure why...

Houghton and Almont North Dakota are further north than Toronto...
our lily of the valley finished weeks ago.

Jane Doe says:

lovely. the closest we get to that is drifts of wild garlic. not the same thing at all ...

10th Jun 2008, 12:53

OJ says:

Ha. I have a love/hate relationship with wild garlic. When you're running you take very deep breaths and it can almost knock you out.

Spiderbaby says:

I do love wild garlic too, though I'm no runner so have never been quite so hit in the face with it as you must have been OJ. It does make me fell hungry though :) (garlic, not lily of the valley that is)

Dhamaka says:

sorry to hear about your allergy but these are lovely.
Spring's my favourite time of year in London, although I'm not sure it would be if I had a similar allergy
