WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! )))
aaa... have nothing to say except CONGRATULATIONS! ) small thing but sometimes small things can do much more than number of big events )
could you please enter a competition and win some cake next time and then maybe share it out a bit?
I wouldn't mind Mike Figgis telling me my photos were cinematic. Well done, thats superb.
Cool! The rate you get through phones that's the ideal prize : ) let us know what shot it was when you know
EDIT just read the blurb, sounds like this one could run and run, great stuff! And interesting that people read the Moblog adverts, i totally zone them out - bet Alfie et al will be pleased
Well done. What was the prize again?
Like JD, I zone out the ads too...
Thank you so much for your lovely comments :)
I normally don't see the ads, this one just caught my eye at a time I needed to procrastinate
OJ - a new phone and an opportunity to be more formally part of the film that Mike Figgis is building from our images
JD - what you may not realise is that the phone I took to Colombia stopped working a few weeks after I dropped it in the bath. Since then I've had 3 replacements, each of which didn't do something I needed.. and I'm waiting for a 4th to arrive on Friday. Meanwhile the prize one (which I was going to select as my upgrade at contract renewal) should arrive on Thursday...
Nige - I hadn't thought of it in that way before... double wow...
I'd pretty much followed the phone saga, hence the comment...
i *heart* Mike Figgis WHEN (not IF) you win the biggie, tell him I *heart* Timecode http://moblog.net/view/295452/timecode
too, which might have trigged the ad! How Meta is that!!!
thank you Ladies,
At the moment all I can think about is how on Earth can I top a set of images I don't remember...
Well done indeed MissD.
Got to be better than that LG thing.
Keep us posted on what the images were, I'd be very interested to see how you interpreted the brief, I didn't really "get it" when you sent it to me and therefore filed it in F13.
Mike Figgis is building a film from our images? Or from the competition images?
I totally missed this....
Thanks Joker - indeed, it was what I was going to get on upgrade
OJ - here's part of what was sent;
"Your entry to the Sony Erixsson 'Life Captured' competition has been chosen as the national winner for the UK........
...... Your entry, plus 18 other storyboards from all across the world, will then be pieced together by Mike to create a short film of still images entitled 'Life Captured'. This will be premiered at the Raindance Film Festival in Leicester Square....
But that's not all...
The competition element of 'Life Captured' is not over yet. You will now be competing against the other national winners to become one of five 'Outstanding Achievers', who will receive tickets to the film's VIP premier, get to walk the red carpet and meet Mike himself...."
Pressure.... :D
I've got till the 8th of September
Wow, congratulations, hope you make it all the way to the red carpet ;)
your entries are quite strong compared to the others, i think. quite an interesting brief from the man like mike figgis too. his pics are really colourful, which surprised me. thought they'd be a lot darker.
finally got to see your set of winning shots - top stuff
